When mr ted was young he was a sweet little child, he loved his mum and told her he loved her everyday, he looked up to his older brother and liked to play butchers shop with him. he would take his bears and sit in the make believe shop and order beef to feed to his bears.
one day Mr ted woke up and went downstairs for breakfast, his brother Mr Pete had just been told he was going to be the town butchers young apprentice. All the family was tucking into pancakes as an informal celebration of Petes fledgling career.
For the next week Ted begged and pestered his brother to play with him but he was too busy learning the different cuts of meat and wouldn't play with Mr Ted. Ted gave a huff and went to play dinner time with his bears but the pink one was missing. He searched frantically, under pillows, behind the sofa but lollipop was nowhere to be seen. Then he heard a small voice crying out screaming "..help me... help me" he followed the voice to the garage...
He pushed open the door to something that changed him forever. Mr.Pete had a set of knives on the desk, lollipop laying on her side with her beady eyes looking at Ted. THEN BANG... the cleaver fell swiftly down slicing through thread and stuffing and lollipops head rolled from the desk into a puddle of oil on the dirty garage floor... In Teds head he could hear the cries of all his teddy bears ringing and bouncing around his brain, tears ran down his cheek, his fist clenched then he flew full pelt at his brother. They rolled around getting covered in oil and cotton wool until a loud shout from mum stopped it all.
Pete was grounded and Ted sent to his room, he laid motionless with his teddies all night, not sleeping, just laying still thinking of the knifes swift slice through his favorite bears neck. In the morning the door opened and in stepped Pete, glum faced and looking at the floor. Pete stepped closer and mumbled sorry to his little brother handing him back the teddy bear he'd spent most of the night fixing. Ted looked at the crewed stitching wondering if lollipop was still alive... he looked into her button eyes and as he did she whispered to ted... "revenge"..... Ted looked up at his brother and gave him a sideways smile. Pete took that smile for forgiveness..... Oh how he was wrong!
